Duct to the Tape Earrings

Do you have any old milk carton laying around the house (okay maybe they are sitting in the recycling

bin but they're the same thing)?  If you do I am sure that you will have all the supplies for this fairly simple craft. I did say fairly simple because the wire working might be a bit hard, but I am sure that you will be able to handle it! So, if your looking for something fun to do that is a bit challenging but not to bad this is your project.   Oh yeah and of course you will also need to have your ears pierced or know someone else with there ears pierced because other wise there is no point to in making this craft.
One last thing the rating on this craft is going to be "EH" and if you don't know what that means look to the right hand side bar.
Needed:
  • 3 colors of duct tape ( used yellow, jeans, and Minion)
  • Permanent Marker
  • Exacto Knife
  • Scissors
  • Milk Carton
  • Cutting board
  • Hole puncher
  • Wire
  • Wire Cutter
  • Earring hooks

How To:

1.) Draw one big circle on the milk carton. Then draw two smaller ones inside the first circle. (refer to the photo)

2.) Cut the milk carton out around the biggest circle.

3.) Draw two more circles by tracing them on to the milk carton.

4.) Cut out the two big circles.

5.) Next you have to take the original big circle and cut out the next smallest circle.

6.) Repeat steps 2-5 for the other two circles.

7.) You should have a total of six circles left.  Once you have that many you have to cut duct tape so that it will cover the circle. As shown.

8.) Take and cover all the circles with appropriate duct tape.

9.) Repeat step 8 for all the circles and this is what you should have.

10.) Now you should layer all of the circles on top of each other according to size.

11.) Punch holes (using a hole puncher) in to the four biggest circles.

12.) For the two little circles take your exacto knife and poke a hole at the top of each.

13.) Take out your wire and string the circles through it.

14.) Make a loop with the wire.

15.) Thread another piece of wire through the loop you just created. Also thread the earring hook through the wire ( make sure that it's facing the right way).  Now make a second loop. (sorry for the bad photos if you have questions email us)

16.) Repeat this step for both earrings.

Enjoy your new earrings!
