How To Cut Wine Corks

 Hey!

So this is a tutorial... but not for a project.  I'm planning on posting a tutorial for a project that uses wine corks later, so I thought I would post this before hand.  Cutting wine corks can be hard, because they tend to crack and crumble.  There are lots of websites that give tips on how to cut wine corks.  This is how I did it and it worked perfectly.

Materials:
  • Wine corks
  • A pan with a cover that you can boil water in
  • Tongs
  • Knife (just a regular kitchen one)
  • Cutting board

Directions...

1.  Bring two inches of water to a boil.

2.  Put your corks right into the water.

3.  Wait until your corks are a little puffed up.  Take them out and cut them immediately.  They'll return to their original shape after they're cooled.

And that's it!  Did it work for you?  What did you change that made it work better?  Comment!!!
