Painted Christmas Tree

Have you ever been stumped on how to wrap something for one of your loved ones or friends.  Well this could help you solve that problem.  It could also be used for decoration around the house.  I hope that you have fun making this Christmas tree cup thing.  I would also rate this at a "Duo" if you need a full description as to what that is check out the right hand side bar.
What you will need:

  • Yellow PaintGreen Paint
  • Brown Paint
  • Paint for your ornaments and gifts (I used red, pink, orange and blue)
  • A sealer of some sort
  • Painters tape
  • Scissors
  • Metal Pail (found it at Target for $3)
  • Paint Brush
  • Water
  • Cup to put water in
  • Paper Plate or bowl to put paint on

How To:

1.) Use the painter's tape to make three triangles on top of each other on your pail (as shown it the photo).  Just so that you know this is the hardest step so once you get through it their is smooth sailing.

2.) Paint! Paint the inside of the taped area green. Do this step twice so that there is two layers of green paint.

3.) Peal off the tape very carefully once the paint is dry.

4.) Very carefully take the brown and make a square for the stump.

5.) Paint on a yellow star, this doesn't need to be exact in fact you could just do a giant dot.

6.) Have fun randomly putting dots on the tree as ornaments.  Also you can add some presents under the tree by painting square and rectangles, and then adding a stripe down the middle and two lines on top as a bow.

Enjoy!
