Painting Santa Hat

If when you look down at your nice hot cup of Joe you are saying why don't I buy better looking mugs, then I have the craft for you.  This is a simple way to decorate your coffee cup and it will also bring a bit of Christmas cheer to the morning. I hope that you enjoy this Santa hat mug!

Oh yeah I almost for got . . I am rating this as "pie" because it is just that simple for the official definition of pie look to the right hand side bar.

What you need:
  • Red paint
  • White paint
  • Sealer of some sort
  • Coffee mug/cup (I bought mine at Target for $3)
  • Painters tape
  • Paint brush
  • Water Cup
  • Paper Plate

How To:

1.) Take the painter tape and tape off a triangle.

2.) Paint the triangle red.

3.) Put on a second coat of red paint once the first one is dry.

3.) Peal off all of the tape once the paint is dry. (remember peel at diagonal)

4.) Take the what paint and paint a circle at the top of the triangle.  This can look a bit rough around the edges if you want.

5.) Apply a stripe of the white at the bottom.

6.) Once everything is dry seal your paint job.

Enjoy a cup of Joe!
