Monster Cookie in a Mason Jar

Hey guys!

This is Ella's day, but since I had a project for it she let me write a tutorial.  So, this is for monster cookies.

I do kinda have a tutorial, but I don't have any poctures of it "in process", because there weren't many to take.

I rated this as "duo".  To see our rating key, look at the right hand side bar.
Materials:
• 1 pint mason jar
• Cute Christmas Paper
• A gift tag
• Something to tie the gift tag on with
•Pencil
•Scissors

Ingredients:

• 1/4 cup granulated sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup and 2 tablespoons rolled oats
• Some Christmas M&Ms (I used peanut)
• 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
• 2 tablespoons chopped pecans

Filling the Jar:

1. Mix the first three ingredients together in a bowl.  Pour into the mason jar.

2. Add a layer of half of the oats.

3. Add a layer of your M&Ms.

4. Add the brown sugar.

5.  Add the remaining oats.

6. Top with a layer of your pecans.

Decorating the Jar:

1. Use the flat circle part of your lid to trace a circle onto some cute Christmas paper.

2. Set the circle part on your mason jar, like you were about to screw the lid on.  Before you screw the ring on, set the piece of paper on the circle part.

3. Once the paper is lined up, screw the ring in place.

4. I made a tag out of brown paper, but you can buy one too.  On the tag write:

Monster Cookies!

• 6 tbsp peanut butter
•1 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
•1/2 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 egg, lightly beaten

Mix above ingredients, add jar, form into 2 inch balls,
bake for 12-14 minutes at 350°F

5. Tie the tag to the mason jar.
